5 Honest Way I Got Google Adsense Approval for This Website

Google Adsense recently approved this blog page - and I want to provide the 5 honest way, coming up below in this post, I stuck with to get that done. This wasn't easy from my perspective. To be completely honest, it took a while and I received no less than three rejections prior to receiving the approval. And I want to share my experience so that someone in the same boat could find this helpful.

In case you don't want to read this post in its entirety, here are my suggestions - and remember, YMMV (your milage might vary):

  • Be patient

  • Follow the rules and requirements

  • Forget about all the gimmicks

  • Don't do anything goofy

  • Be patient (again)

My goal, when I started this, was actually very simple: utilize free resources and try not to spend money to achieve some kind of result. This was the reason I decided to create a blog page using the Blogger platform. I did spend money to register a domain name in case this blogger page take off successfully. The domain name currently points to this blog page. Therefore, I probably do have to reapply for Google Adsense if I ever moved this blog to be complete under the domain name.

These are my recommendations and thoughts:

1. Be Patient!

The entire approval process took time. And there is not an exact formula about how long it will take. If someone tell you that there is a really quick way to get the approval - just walk away from that information (and more on that below). This is simply no short-cut to the process. For me, it took about ten months.

When I started this, I was not patient at all. After posting ten posts, I applied for approval. In a hindsight, it was a mistake. While there is really no harm in applying early, the chance of getting rejections is certainly greater. The frustration after each rejection was definitely there.

I also read somewhere online that Google Adsense really wants a web site to "proof itself" - the online article even went a bit further and said that there might be a period of time before which Google Adsense just wouldn't give approvals. That makes sense - no advertise will put money into a web site that just started recently.

2. Follow the Rules and Requirements!

I started this blog page in late 2020 after learning a little bit about all things relating to online presence. This was during the time when everyone was deep in the pandemic lockdown. And everyone seemed to have the same idea about wanting to earn something money online. With more people wanting to do the same, I could image Google Adsense tighten up its requirement. And as a business I am sure it wants to make sure all the requirements are met.

My recommendation is - read the requirements. Google Adsense will not give an approval without having things, such as Privacy Policy, and so forth. Laws and policy change all the time so make sure to follow the current requirement.

3. Forget About All the Gimmicks!

There are a lot of web pages and YouTube videos about how to get a web site approved by Google Adsense quickly. To me most of them are all gimmicks. These might have worked for some people in the past. But there is surely no guarantee these tricks will work now and in the future.

As I mentioned above, more and more people are flocking to Google Adsense these days wanting to make a few quick bucks. And there seems to be a whole "industry" about teaching how to get that approval quickly. Some of them even charge money for the information one can find for free online (such as this post).

Believe me, Google Adsense probably have plugged most, if not all, loopholes already. So my suggestion is not to even try them. Just read the articles posted by Google Adsense, read the honest articles, watch YouTube videos that were made honestly.

4. Don't Do Anything Goofy!

Just as I have talked about above - there is probably no way around the process. So just don't do anything that is silly. Some tricks might work - but who is to say that Google Adsense wouldn't find out? I think they always find out. Why would you jeopardize your hard work for something that is just not worth it?

5. Did I Say Be Patient?

If someone went through all the hard work was still getting the rejection, I would say - take a mental break, wait a little bit and try again. If all the requirements on contents and web page structure were made, then time is the only thing that was missing. Just continue to create and apply from time to time. Soon I am sure Google Adsense will approve.

One thing I want to add - and consider this as a "bonus"... This has to do with image usage.

The question is, "Is it okay to use free stock images?" The answer is "Yes" - as you can see on this web site that most images are stock photos.

There seems to be conflicting information about this online. I thought I offer this tip and hope you find this helpful.
